Data Processing Notice
Last updated: May 2026
Veya Cue is used by businesses to operate their walk-in queues. When customers join a queue, the business collects their information and uses Veya Cue to manage it. This notice explains how that arrangement works.
Who is responsible for what
- The business using Veya Cue is the data controller for the personal data of its own customers. The business determines what to collect at the queue join screen and how to use it within its own operation.
- Veya Cue is the data processor. We store and process that data so the business can operate its queue and so customers can see their status.
What customer data we typically process
- Name and contact details entered at the queue join screen.
- Queue entry data, including queue number, service, join time and status changes.
- Limited technical data required to deliver status updates to the customer's device.
How we process it
- Only on the instruction of the business using the Service.
- Only for the purpose of operating the queue and supporting the Service.
- With appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
Sub-processors
We use a small number of sub-processors for hosting, database, payments and email delivery. They are bound by appropriate contractual terms.
Business responsibilities
- Inform your customers what data you collect and why.
- Use Veya Cue only for the purposes you have communicated to your customers.
- Handle data subject requests from your own customers.
- Keep your staff accounts secure.
Disclaimers
- Wait times shown by Veya Cue are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
- Businesses are responsible for how they use customer data inside their own operations.
